Raw Steel vs. Aluminum

What’s the difference between raw steel and aluminum and when are they used? This is an important question to ask and understand the differences. Raw steel is stronger and heavier than aluminum, but it is more corrosive than aluminum. If you purchase a piece that if is made from raw steel, please know that it will develop a rusty patina over time. You'll get to watch it change over time. It’s not going to bend and is really solid. Aluminum is a softer, more flexible metal that will not rust.  If you purchase an aluminum or steel tree stake, they are both made from at least 11 gauge (thickness) metal.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions at thesteelworkersdaughter@gmail.com.
